From Kawasan And Back (updated with pix)

Posted by soreal

Some of my friends and I went to Kawasan Falls to celebrate my 25th Birthday yesterday. To those who have been to that place, you would know that there is a major hiking spree involve. It's my 2nd time there, the 1st time was with Wena when we went there right after shift and I ended up with no undies on my way home hahaha

There were 7 of us yesterday, Dada, Wena, Eds, Michy, Mik, Kim and yourstruly. Everyone got wet and wild except for Mik and his sister Kim, I think they just went there to take unadulterated pictures of themselves hihihi

Eds was the official photographer of the group and I'll just grab pictures from his site the moment he posts it. Wena and Mik gave me a purple elephant as a present, so cute! It has a really long name so changed it to Wik2x hihihi in honor of the parents (Wena & Mike). You might be wondering what dada gave me; he gave me a lovely Timex watch because I don't have a watch for the reason that I use my phone to check the time.

We packed up our things and started hiking back to the road at 4pm yesterday. Got back to Cebu at 8pm and we were all so tired because the ride home was a killer! The moment I got home I went to bed right away to just relax and then shower later but when I woke up it was already 6am hahaha

A Bit of Paradise In A Place Called Alegre

Posted by soreal

Hi everyone! I have a really good excuse for not being able to write sooner. Management had a training/outing last Saturday and Sunday at Alegre Beach Resort. The training was interesting yet very tiring because we went straight to the resort right after work so everyone was awake for 24 hours grrr. The Resort however is a totally wonderful place and I had the best bubble bath experience in my entire life..so far.

Alegre is a tranquil resort in the North pat of Cebu. It’s EXPENSIVE but worth every Php. They have the most accommodating and hospitable staff. When we got there we were greeted with friendly smiles and a table of freshly made juice awaited us; just the thing we needed after a 2 hour travel. We wanted to go check out our rooms right away but Momi Lai wanted to get the training started so we can have all the free time in the world after.

So where do I start bragging? Well let’s start off with lunch then. The buffet lunch was super amazing! As a matter of fact, every meal is amazing in Alegre. Everything’s fresh, cooked and served at its best (sigh). All my other buffet eat-till-u-drop experiences are a far cry from what they offer. Their cook in their can seriously do some major damage to anyone’s diet.

Now let’s move on to another brag-worthy morsel…the rooms. The moment we opened the door, we gawked in awe at 2 huge beds, large sofa, big tv, DVD player, mini ref and a heavenly bathroom. I’ve never been in such a really big bathroom before. It’s like stepping into your very own getaway to a place where you can get lost in relaxation. They have cute customized bottles labeled with whatever is inside it like shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, lotion, etc. Oh boy, I really took advantage of the bobble bath hihi The pillows are as soft as clouds, not that I’ve hugged clouds before though. The room is like a beautiful dream in its self and I wanted to keep it so much, everyone felt the same way.

Wait, I’m not done bragging. Just a few stairs down is The Cliff, Alegre’s tiny bar at the beach. To say it’s beautiful is an understatement. They have a spa hut, hammocks, a cabana, beach beds and some smoked colored tables and chairs. The beach when we got there was so inviting, it was calling us but I ignored it coz I was too busy noticing every other wonderful detail. The only down side is that the sand although it’s white is not really all that refined and powdery so I don’t recommend playing beach volley.

Alegre sure knows how to tickle anyone’s fancy. It is one of the favorite places of our site director and now its one of my favorites too.

Guiltless Getaway

Posted by soreal

Is work stressing you out and you just want to spend a nice, lovely vacation somewhere private where you can say hello to serenity or maybe just go out and do something crazy? I feel this way sometimes, well I suppose everyone does. To relax, unwind and not feel restricted have become part of people’s needs; I know its part of mine. To be able to get out and do whatever we want is so liberating. It makes us feel free and empowered.

Armed with the desire to visit places that I’ve never been to like Negril Jamaica, I tried searching online for travel packages with all inclusive resorts. I saw places that I have only seen in movies and photo shoots so far. I also came across adult vacations; now that sounds interestingly hot! All these are happening at world famous Hedonism resorts. I love the idea of a wild, guilt-fee vacation, don’t you?

Ever Heard of a Christian Cruise?

Posted by soreal

We just go a letter from our church pastor who now lives in California. Inside the envelope was a picture of him and his family, they are all in the United States now. It has been almost a year since they were last here and because they live next door to us, we can’t help but miss them. They were the best neighbors ever.

In the letter he talked about how they just got back from a cruise and how now they are entertaining the plan of going on yet another one. They must have really enjoyed their first adventure then. This made me think of the Christian Cruises that I have just happened upon online. If only it is within my means to set them up for a Christian Cruise, I really would. I know they would love the idea of visiting those historical places mentioned in the Bible, having Bible teachings on board while meeting other Christians from all over the world.

I’m not sure how long Christian Cruises have existed but I do know that if I were present when the first cruise ship set sailed, I would have felt this wonderfully warm and fuzzy feeling inside. Ever Heard of a Christian Cruise?

Back From Singapore

Posted by soreal

Wena's back from her trip to Singapore and I promised to fetch her so I tagged Momi Cherry along coz I didn't want to go ride a taxi alone at 3:30am to go to the airport. Something about it gives me the chills. So anyway we go there at exactly 4am coz wena said that was when she will be arrive. To no surprise, we waited for over an hour because the 5J 548 arrived at quarter past 5am. While we waited for wena, cherry and I had the time of our lives talking about everything lolz and I mean we did cover everything except politics.

I got a chinese inspired gold bag from wena which goes really well with some of my clothes, dada got a cool souvenir expression shirt and cherry got a pig stuffed animal ironically name "pig" what are the odds lolz.

From Camotes

I just want to inform everyone that I'm back from Camotes and I swear it really is a beautiful place! I will be updating this post for more details as well as the pics but for now, I need to sleep.
*******************************************************************
As promised I'm back and this time around I have some pics to post. All in all it was not a bad experience but it also wasn't that much fun for me. Maybe because some of the people that I was hoping to be there weren't. It would have been more fun if Jen, MJ and Wena were there.

We stayed in Santiago and this is a view from the restaurant

This is what was used to fuel our diaphragms so we can sing songs like Alone and Total Eclipse of The Heart lolz! Well what can I say this is what happens if u drink Red Horse + EMperador with Extra Joss + Tequilla in one setting, are you okay edcel? These 2 photos are of Mangodlong, it was low tide when we got there and this is a close up the beach bed near the huge rock formation.this other one is of one of the cottages.

Camotes For Team Building

Posted by soreal

Team Pia (our team) will be off to Camotes on the 18th and 19th of this month for our first ever team building. I can't say I'm not excited. I have never been there and I have heard nothing but good reviews about the place. They say it's a beautiful tiny piece of heaven in Cebu. I personally think there are several tiny pieces of heaven scattered everywhere and Cebu fortunately has more than its share. Well I am yet to visit every heavenly place haha I will be posting pics of the outing guys so stay tuned ^_^

Tiny Coupons, Huge Savings

Posted by soreal

I was just online one day checking new sites and editing some photos when I happened upon a site called BestOnlineCoupons.com; they have some unbelievable number of coupons for several thousand online stores that made my head spin. Now I love shopping and I think I’m not alone on this one. I think a girl can never have too many shoes, bags, clothes and jewelry. So when I saw that they also have discount coupons available for Zappos I got really excited! Now I don’t want to keep this wonderful shopping opportunity to myself so I’m spreading the word. This site has everything covered and I mean it. They even got online coupon code deals for LittleGiantLadder.com and the list just goes on and on.

My boyfriend and I love to travel and I saw some amazing coupons that we can both use so we can save and have room for other stuff like finally getting me a new computer. I saw an amazing price slash coupon for the Apple Store in there as well and I have always wanted a MacBook. Isn’t it great how tiny a coupon is and how huge the cash you can save with it? Let us help consumers get the best deal with their hard earned money, happy shopping!

Wena's Back

Posted by soreal

I really missed my friend Wena, she's been on vacation for 2 weeks and i'm glad shes back. It just wasn't the same opening the locker we both share and not find her bag. I love sharing a locker with her even if it means that it's amazingly cluttered with both ours stuff; I wouldn't want it any other way. She knows how gaga I am over poncho these days so she got me one when she was in Baguio (don't I look like a jungle princess or what lolz). Yeah I keep ranting about how things between us are just very different compared to when we were both single and I keep telling her that i'm always here, that nothing much changed really. (sigh) Who am I kidding? Everything has changed.
Back then, the moment we decide on going to a destination, we go right away without much planning hehe we just go armed with cash and our mischievous buns. Now there is just this complicated process of telling dada where I want to go and then checking if it'll fit both our schedules (bummer). Don't get me wrong, i'm not complaining that I have dada. I mean i'm glad I have him. Most girls live their lives hoping to find some guy as amazing as him only to end up with sadist pigs. I love dada, I do. He disses his friends just so he can always be with me eventhough I tell him it's ok to spend some time with them. Does that mean I have to do that to my friends too?
(sigh)...
