If I remember right, today is the 3rd day of my blog hehe I can never get my dates and figures straight so please excuse me. I'm planning to just spend the day learning as much as I can about blogging coz I'm such a novice at this it astounds me. I already bookmarked the sites that I found helpful in my quest for..err..uhm..templates and anything that can help me with my blog. >sigh< This feeling is identical to how I felt back in highschool when I'd get a project that I'd be totally engrossed on doing right haha Well I guess this is a good past time for me at this point in my life. I've turned into a sloth and blogging is a good way to get the hinges turning again, something to keep the cobwebs off my cerebrum..hmm cobwebs off my cerebrum hehe that's a nice one!
I can't believe it took me almost 2 hours to finally decide on the pic that I will use for my header but I think it's worth it >winks< The reason I chose that close up pic of myself for the header is that I think it jives into the whole old, rustic, forgotten appeal that I'm kinda going for at the moment. I might change it next day who knows hehe At least now I really understand why Wena's eyebags are as big as pillows, she stays up all night to work on our other blog and her personal blog as well. I'm officially hooked to blogging, weeeee!! Oh but there is still so much I need to learn fast huhuhu my blog is still 2 days old so I need to work double time, hmph!

I came online this morning right after I got off from work and before I could even change clothes because I was just so excited to check my blog and see who left their imprints and what not. So you can imagine my despair when we didn't have internet connection, I was like "holy crap no! dada help" but dada is at work. Now I'm not techie so I was thrown off my feet with this. I tried to stay calm, checked on my connection again, disabled and enable it, restarted the pc but still there was that "X" thingy on the 2 tiny, adjacent computer icons that show internet connection on the lower right of the screen. So for the first time I dialled *1888 for help so I could talk to a Smart Bro tech. While going thru the IVR's and waiting for a live person, my eyes were glued to the "X" on the tiny computer icons and I was rehearsing what I was gonna tell the agent. With my job, I know how difficult it is to talk to incoherent customers and I wanted to spare the agent that. Well for whatever cosmical reason though, soon after the agent answered (Edmund was his name I think) I was able to establish connection, yeepeey!!! So I thanked the agent for whatever magic or voodoo he did hehe all I kniow is that I got my connection back when he gave his spiel and now I'm a happy camper ^_^
I have been bugging Dada to surprise me one of these days and he did hehe he looked so cute while handing the bag that contained the cute baby bear inside hehe I so love the bear!! Thing is we don't have a name for this cute lil fellow yet so I decided to start a poll so that everyone can help me give this baby a name ^_^
I always tell him not to take porky's coins out but he still does and we even pinky promised the last time. Imagine my surprise when right after buying something near SM this morning I went straight to porky with a handful of 10Php treat, only to find it really light. I waved him on air several times but there was no clanking sound that coins make, just dreadful silence. PorkyII is my cute piggybank, he gave it to me as a replacement for my porkyI that we smashed because we fell short on cash sometime back. I like porkyII better than porkyI because first dada gave it to me, second porkyII is way cuter and more expensive than porkyI. I just hate the round hole on its belly with rubber cover used to take out coins because it defeats the whole purpose of religiously putting 10Php coins that I will take out a year after. That amount will then be deposited into out savings account, no wait, I suppose because he keeps taking the coins out whatever amount porkyII has after a year goes to my savings account not ours.
I can't get enough of the New Year because it always gives out a feeling of fresh starts eventhough most of the time we really are just cheating ourselves. So how many New Year's resolutions have I made eversince I was old enough to make one and old enough to understand I can never keep them? Countless! But hey, I'm tapping to that inner old school in me who still believes in resolutions hehe so I'm making mine now 16 days after New Year.
For starters, I'm really going to get serious with my diet this year. I mean I have been on a yoyo diet for the longest time and towards the end of last year I became consistent with it, amazing right? wrong! I consistently gained weight, that from 113lbs I went to an offending 142lbs! Thank God I still got brains and a pretty face to boot hehehe
Second resolution in conjunction with the first one, I'm gonna finally work out with Dada and Wena at MetroSports. Can't wait!
Third is save, save, save, save! No more impulse shopping and keep midnight sales shopping to the minimum.
Of course I'm still going to be the usual funny me and I still pray for world peace^_^
Once upon a time, there lived a cute little girl who couldn’t wait to grow up. She started wearing Playtex bra at 2nd grade long before any of her friends had boobs. Her menarche came when she was 9 years old much to her parents’ concern and to her excitement. Right at that time she already had her very own make up collection as freebies from her aunts for wowing them. When kids her age played with dolls and toy cars, she played with her hair. Because she was the firstborn, she had a huge assortment of toys but she only fancied them for awhile and soon the toys were kept inside a big brown box, isolated in a dark corner. She didn’t think it strange that she dreamt of what her first kiss would be like at an age where kids should be dreaming of Barbie dolls. Well she never was a fan of dolls anyway, she always thinks it’s creepy how their blank eyes could stare and stare for what seems like eternity.
Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, months turned into years and the cute little girl did grow up into a lively, voluptuous woman. With her innocence gone, she’s now a woman of experience and yes she did have her share of stories to tell; heart wrecking, tear jerking, awe striking tales. She never thought growing up is so complicated. She sometimes finds her thoughts wandering towards memory lane, when she was but an urchin and life was nothing but a carefree bubble of laughter and everything can be solved with a platter of sweet spaghetti.
Oh how she wishes she could turn time back and relive what was gone, she would have cherished every moment of her childhood. How she wish she could go back to a time when she could sit on her father’s lap, cry for hours then she would tell her old man how cruel the world is, her dad would hug her, wipe her tears, make up stories that would make her laugh. But she can’t do that now, she’s too big to sit on her father’s lap and her father is no longer the strong and mighty that he once was. Strange how age had taken its toll on her father, she has always thought that her dad was like superman, man of steel, always strong.
Now when she thinks of the future and how vague it looks to her, she gets scared. Gone are the days when the future was something her parents take care of for her. Now she has to take care of herself and her siblings as well. She’s scared and angry of her responsibilities but those responsibilities are what keep her going. Although she appears like a hard nut to crack she’s really is just a cupcake and the whole façade is her defense. I should know…I am her.
